Shell sells wind farm stake to DONG, E.ON - paper
LONDON, July 20 (Reuters) - Oil group Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has agreed to sell its stake in the 2.5-billion-pound ($5 billion) London Array offshore wind project to Denmark's DONG Energy and Germany's E.ON EONG.DE, the Sunday Times said.
The newspaper, without citing sources, said a settlement was agreed last week that would see the utilities dividing Shell's one-third stake evenly between them, leaving them each owning 50 percent of the project.
E.ON declined to comment. Shell was not immediately available for comment and DONG could not immediately be reached for comment.
Industry sources had said the three companies are in talks and that a decision could be made within the next few days. (Reporting by Mark Potter in London and Peter Starck in Frankfurt; Editing by Richard Hubbard)
