IBA H1 sales up 38 pct, just above forecasts
BRUSSELS, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Belgian cancer diagnosis and therapy company Ion Beam Applications (IBAB.BR: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) reported a 37.7 percent rise in first-half revenues on Friday, slightly above analyst expectations.
Revenues in the first six months increased to 133.1 million euros ($196.2 million) from 96.7 million euros a year earlier. Analysts had been expecting a figure of 131 million euros.
Recurring EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) fell 3.9 percent to 5.36 million euros, while net profit fell 32.4 percent to 4.83 million euros against expectations of 8.2 million and 8.4 million euros respectively.
