BancTrust Financial files for $75 mln shelf offer
WASHINGTON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - BancTrust Financial Group Inc (BTFG.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) on Monday filed to periodically sell up to $75 million in common and preferred stock, rights and warrants.
The company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it will disclose how it will use the proceeds from the offering in future filings.
Under a shelf registration, a company may sell securities in one or more separate offerings with the size, price and terms to be determined at the time of sale. (Reporting by Karey Wutkowski)
