Europe stocks fall further; SocGen tumbles 12 pct
PARIS, Nov 21 (Reuters) - European stocks fell further in late trade on Friday, with pharma stocks taking a beating and fresh fears over the financial sector knocking down banking shares such as Societe Generale (SOGN.PA).
At 1541 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares was down 2.3 percent at 762.89 points after falling as low as 760.69.
Novartis (NOVN.VX) was down 6.4 percent, Sanofi-Aventis (SASY.PA) fell 8.6 percent and Societe Generale (SOGN.PA) down 12 percent.
