NEW YORK (Reuters) - China's oil demand should fall by less than 100,000 barrels per day after the Olympics, Guy Caruso, head of the Energy Information Administration, told reporters at the Reuters Global Energy Summit on Monday.

Surging demand in China and other emerging economies has underpinned a six-year rally in crude prices. Caruso said demand in the Middle East this year should rise by 300,000 to 400,000 bpd.
