DETROIT (Reuters) - Auto executives met at the Detroit Regional Chamber to talk about trends affecting their companies and industries.

MALCOLM BRICKLIN, FOUNDER, VISIONARY VEHICLES
"We are putting our face out there and saying, 'Look at us.' And if we do our job, we're going to win this game. And if we don't, we're going to get our ass kicked right on the first day."
"Although I made a lot of money, I also found a lot of ways to throw many away learning the car business."
"I was jumping a little bit faster than my (Chinese) hosts could handle," he said of the delayed plans to bring Chinese-built cars to the U.S. market.
"We don't expect a Mercedes customer to buy our car. The Mercedes customer likes that badge on there."
