DETROIT (Reuters) - Auto executives met at the Detroit Regional Chamber on Tuesday to talk about trends affecting their companies and industries.

RON GETTELFINGER, PRESIDENT, UNITED AUTO WORKERS UNION
"That's the greediest bunch of people I have ever dealt with, without question," he said of Delphi Corp. (DPHIQ.PK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) executives.
"I'm concerned with (executive) compensation overall. It's ridiculous for executives to make the money they make."
"How humiliating is it that he's got time to meet with the (TV show's) American Idol, that he can come in for a fund-raiser to unseat an incumbent United States senator, but then he only has time to make a phone call to ... Bill Ford," he said of President George W. Bush.
ADRIANE BROWN, CEO, HONEYWELL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (HON.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)
"I want to make diesel almost invisible to the consumer. They should not have to worry about the fact that they're driving a gasoline vehicle or a diesel vehicle. I just want them to put the right fuel in."
